Description:
I am a small independent self-publisher and the author/artist (Photoshop) for the Book (but that is the limitation of my design/technical expertise). This is a 3rd Printing of the book (40th Anniversary Edition) ©1982, 1994, 2022).I Need to contract with a good (possibly more competively priced) STL designer.
I am going to start a Kickstarter Campagin to solicit presales for the STLs associated with this book *(and possibly do a jont-venture and/or profit share arrangemnt with the STL Designer(s) I select).
(The Book has over 80+ Dragons and their included photos)
*I can share samples of interior Artwork to aid in concept and STL design
Anyone interested please submit a sample of the design you create based on (photo supplied below - a more simple design IMO)). Also submit a portfolio of simialr works.
Thank you for your time and efforts.
Wants:
1- Please pay close attention to the "detail" (Face, Skin, Claws), in the photo(s) provided (Skin has certain type of scales, the Wings are textured, etc.)2- These will be miniatures for table-top Role Playing Games (SCALE: 1" = 10')
3- High Detail of finished product (STL can be done with assembled parts if that helps the design clarity).
4- If you can provide what your normal fees are for this type of a project.
Don't Wants:
Sloppy or just basic quality work
Ask for Sample:
Please provide a sample image (with different view point perspectives - Front, Back, both Sides and Top), if possible.
Software:
- SOLIDWORKS and AUTOCAD seem to be the standard,..
- but anything that works best for you - as long as
- finshed STL designs will work with any 3-D printer
Additional Information
* Although the "samples" are excellent in helping us to decide on 3-D (STL) designers to use (we have lots more needed for this book). To be considered a contender (WINNERs) for this contest's prize award, their MUST also be included a "COMPLETED" STL of the entire piece.** Even if you DO NOT WIN this contest, We may still need your services. We are looking to assemble a "team" of designers to use (for several designs each) when we start doing all the other STL's for the Book Project (there are 80+ designs needed)!

你好,
谢谢你的回应…
Yes - Submit the example model that you have so I can see the type of work you can do...
Of course, to win this particular contest... It requires you submit the finished STL of the suggested design that I listed -BUT....
BUT - I am more using this contest to find good 3-D modellers to use in the launch of our upcoming product line - This will initially require approx. 125+ miniature STLs be made.
I would like to get people selected to be part of the "team" we will use and the entire project will hopefully start by this coming November.
I am looking for good designers who can do quality finished work as quickly as possible.
1- When you submit what you have, please also include it's size and how long that particular project took you to complete.
2- Also send an estimate of your expenses and what you would charge for a similar finished set of STLs (and hourly rates if possible, based on similar complexity).
Plus, what your schedule and availability will allow you time for?
I appreciate your interest...
Sincerely,
Teddy RYan

你好, may I submit this model .blend format or I have to upload it stl format? thanks
It's difficult to me to give a price for a contest. I could give a price for my work but not for others.
At this point I see several stage of this contest. If the photo given is the only reference, the designer will should first draw a character design with a sketch of face and side view of the dragon and checkings all the details samples ( skins, claws, tail, wings...). The design will need to think about the position and movement given to the creature. This position would need a support feet for example if you want the dragon seems like to fly.
Once the design checked, the modelisation/sculpting process would begin and to have the great propotion with the 1:10 scale, you should give the "real" dimension of the beast. Then the designer should look at the thickness of the thinner part to have no issue in the 3D printing session. That's why you could give information on the 3D printing process you'll choose. Maybe the SLA or SLS method should the better choice to have highly detailed character.
Then the designer will probably need to make few feedback along the modelisation to check with you the aspect of the skin and all the details before applying it on the whole beast.
结束的时候modelisation过程,一个单独的d parts process should be interesting to create the 3D printed piece. It's another step to think of.
At this point, it would probably take minimum 10 or 15 hours of work on that dragon.
If you want other informations/help, be free to write/send me a private message via my profile. I'll answer you with pleasure.

What would you suggest as a reasonable amount?

Thanks for you info

Hi Thanks for holding the contest. IMO the prize is quite low compared to the 3D sculpting time and skill for a detailed dragon. I could make it but the budget's too low according to me.

power box
it is a box, come with 2 pcs 18350 batter and get a LCD dispolay to show the power capacity and alos on the box there are 3 buttons, one for switch on/off, and 2 for adjust specifications, if not 2 buttons, could be 1 pole or other design for adjust. also we need a connect on box to connect other device, it is kind of screw thread connection.
Underwater modular drone
The underwater drone is modular and autonomous. Users can assemble it from different modules fitting to each other similar to Lego pieces. Core modules are: stern with cameras and sensors, bow with propulsion system, battery, sonar, basket, a continuous robotic arm. It can work: with or without tether and recharge itself autonomously, has multiple internal navigation systems, has two independent moving cameras and lights enabling him to observe two things at the same time. The modules should be presented on the principles "Rubix cube". At this stage we are focusing on design and creativity, no need to include moving parts, they are a bonus. Must be highly visible in the water.
建模&Graphic Design for a Modern Landfill
We are looking for some one to design a complete landfill for use on our Tradeshow booth. We are looking for someone who can layout the entire site. From the waste cell to the roads, to the working face of the landfill and Leachate systems, liners etc. We would also like to incorporate our equipment and products into the design. This is mostly for Leachate. What we are attempting to do is show how to Waste Companies can handle their leachate to save money. There are 3 steps to this process. The first is minimization. We have developed a spray on solution that will repel water from the side slopes of the landfill and on the flat top of the landfill. Ideally we show a rain cloud raining down on the side of the landfill here and then we can have our graphic artists do bubbles on the rendering showing where that product is used. The second part we do is pre-treatment. We have designed a system that can process and clean the leachate. The leachate is pumped from the bottom of the landfill to holding tanks where we clean it from there it goes to Leachate ponds where our Evaporation Misting Equipment evaporates the water. We also have the leachate evaporated inside buildings. Ideally we want to show the daily operations of a landfill and where all of our products are used on that landfill. Visiting our website will give you a very in-depth look at what we do Attached are some samples of how landfills have been rendered in the past as well as a top view of a modern landfill in California. Also included is a aerial photo of a landfill cell being built with liner and a side view of all the layers that go into a landfill. If you have any questions or need more details please leave note This image will be blown up to fit a booth that is 5'6" high and 113" wide

3D Geometrical jewlery design
We would like to create distinct silver jewelry for mature and modern women (35-65 years) with taste for fine jewelry, which is minimal, modern and timeless. Icon: celebrating realistic animal figures made with repetitive geometric pattern like triangle, rhombus etc. similar to the Cartier panther ring in the project brief. 1st collection is featuring OWL. Setting: To achieve high jewelry look, use of Channel, Mystery setting and micro pave is highly encouraged. Size and dimensions: Use of OWL head should be between 20mm-45mm across different jewelry elements. Stone Size: As we use semi-precious stones there are no stone size limitations, This project is a test to select right candidates for our on-going long-term project. We welcome talented designers from across the world, but candidates with experience in Italian market would be preferred. Please align your sketch with us, before proceeding to 3D modeling. Files to be in STL and 3DM format.
