Description:
We are building a "smart city" type sensor that will be located underground. It will have a wired connection to a Cellular Communicator that uses cellular networks to send the sensor data to cloud server. City employees will mount the Cellular Communicator to walls around the city so that it gets a strong signal. It could be mounted to the wall of a commercial or residential building, in urban or rural environments.
Pictures of the Cellular Communicator are attached.

We need a design for a plastic Wall Mount Bracket that will be used to attach the Cellular Communicator to the wall. We don't want it to stand out, instead we want most people not to notice it, and homeowners to not be bothered by it being mounted on their side or back wall! It should be easy to manufacture by injection mold, and simple to install.

Please provide image files and any neutral CAD file format showing your Wall Bracket design. Images should show how the Communicator fits into the Bracket, and how the Bracket fits against a wall.
Wants:
The Wall Mount Bracket must:
• Securely fasten the Cellular Communicator (about 2 inch diameter, 5 inch height - photos attached) to a wall with two screws
• Cover the Communicator from view
• Has an opening for ~1/4 inch diameter wire to get from Communicator to Sensor
• Strain relief for the wire so it can't be pulled out of the Communicator
• Looks appealing, but discrete - blends into building or environment as much as possible
•通常有一个坚固的设计,应该生存being dropped or bumped
• One piece manufactured by plastic injection mold
• As small as possible while meeting above criteria

so you want the device itself to not be visible from the outside?

@Odinakachukwu - No need to be watertight or have a vent. No constraint on wall thickness.
@Akash - Top portion is cylindrical, bottom portion is oval, see previous comment for dimension.
@Abhi - Yes it can be open to wall as long as device is still hidden from view. That is not itself is not a requirement though.

Is the mount is open to wall? I mean wall itself acts like closing it from one side?
I have made zigzag type arrangement to hold the wire which will work as strain relief. plz have a look

Hi Andrew,
I have read your project brief for a Design of a wall mount for your cellular communicator product.
Question:
1. will this be a watertight design?
2. Any need for a vent
3. Do you have any constrained wall thickness I should maintain?

Thanks

Hello stefann,
You can consider the diameter 1.75 inches, width 2 inches, and length 2.5 inches

Hi Andrew! In order to draw the inner mount for the communicator accordingly i wold need the diameter of the cylindrical head, and the length and width of the oval base. Thank you !

Hi carlosz,
The cable connects in through the side of the communicator, close to the bottom

iPhone/Android Accessory Design Enhancement
This consumer product is an accessory that provides enhanced usability to mobile phones and tablets. The latest design of our "Band" is two parts: 1. Round Base that attaches to the back of the phone (made from a low-friction polymer like polyethylene) 2. A "band" that overlaps with the Round Base (1) and rotates/spins around it. (made from polyethylene over-molded with rubber to provide elasticity to the top band part) The rubber part of the band elongates so that an individual's finger can be placed underneath the band and above the base. The elasticity part is important so it can accommodate different finger sizes. The product allows users to hold the phone more securely. Our current challenge is the design of the "Band" (2). This is where we need the help. As shown in the attached STL file for the Band, there are two circles on either side of the flap that holds the finger down. These circle were put there to provide some added elasticity to the rubber piece. While it does functionally work well, the current design does not look durable or very elegant. We'd like to rethink the band design to make it look incredibly user-friendly, allowing the band to stretch upright to accommodate different finger sizes, while being functionally superior to the current design. Designer will need to provide STL files for my prototyping company to be able to work with.
Leaside Project
I am building a new home and require innovative interior architectural design options ( kitchen, family room, living room and powder room) that will accommodate an exterior elevation that is already defined. One of the most important aspects to this assignment is the location of the interior foyer relative to the location of stairs that go up to the 2nd floor and down to the basement. The desired design of the foyer is to be defined in terms of its presence but not in a manner that it takes away from the interior space in a significant manner. Once a 1st floor layout is approved, the need to prepare a modern and eye catching interior design (with furniture, crown holding, tray ceilings, wainscotting, etc. ) with photo like renderings will be required. I have attached the exterior elevation (which is reversed to the actual location of the garage) but it provides a sense of the foyer location. I have also provided a PDF of the ground floor footprint that we have to work with. The dimensions of the foot print is fixed. This ground floor plan design is not the optimal in terms of the foyer so we are looking for innovative designs that will fit within the plan dimensions and our needs..
Unicycle
你好,谢谢你的查看我的比赛!我是我nvolved with a company that is looking to receive some entries for a "prototype" electric unicycle. If you aren't familiar let me give you a brief background. Remember the hoverboards last xmas?? The electric unicycle works on essentially the same principle (upside down pendulum theory) to achieve self balancing capability. The current offerings on the market just don't cut it, the plastics are basically thrown together around the requirements of a build, rather than incorporating the necessary components into the design for a smooth finish. I would like the final product to be somewhat futuristic/prototypish looking, maybe a bit sporty. You can get a feeling for whats out there by doing a google search for "electric unicycle". Integral to the design there are 3 requirements. 1.) Obviously the plastic fairing will need to have a cavity for the wheel, but in addition, it will need to subtly include a space for lipo batteries, (doesnt have to be in any particular shape however), and also must include spot for a pcb control board. Both of these items arent excessively large, the PCB is about 4X3 inches and the batteries are about 5X5X1 (but can be reconfigured). 2.) I would also like to incorporate into my design a headlight, and a tail light if possible, but most concerned with head light. Would also like to leave the option open to include small bluetooth speakers, however these would not take very much space at all. 3.) Finally, this design will need to have a retractable handle for balance when getting on/off.
The ROBERT project
We would like a fresh set of eyes on our device ROBERT, a rehabilitation robot that release healthcare workers of heavy and continuous lifting which can cause physical strain and pain in the back, loin, wrists and shoulders. We aim to optimise rehabilitation through more frequently and prolonged exercises which can result in fewer complications and a faster retrieval of a patient’s strength. See more at www.myrobert.com. The current look is a mixture of many components comming together which does not result in a uniform design. Further we whish to incorporate a new robot arm, made by the company KUKA, the LBR iiwa version, https://www.kuka.com/en-de/products/robot-systems/industrial-robots/lbr-iiwa. This will later come in a MEDtech version, similar in use but in white and with a small change to the interface base. CAD data of the industrial version can be used for this design, change is that wiring will come out of the bottom of the medtech version and not the sides like the industrial version, so completely round in base instead of the small square thing on the side of the industrial version (so no visible wires). The industrial version can be downloaded here: https://www.kuka.com/en-de/services/downloads. It is the "LBR iiwa 14 R820" found under division "KUKA Robotics".
